Supported by the European Commission, the Région Sud, and the Metropole Aix-Marseille-Provence, Provence Grand Large is also supported by a strong regional dynamic involving many local stakeholders.
Selected by the French Agency for Ecological Transition (ADEME) as part of the Future Investment Programm, Provence Grand Large is a project led by EDF power solutions in collaboration with Enbridge, a Canadian energy group.
Its development also allowed through the presence of leading industrial partners, including some of the major stakeholders in the offshore wind industry: Siemens-Gamesa, SBM Offshore, Prysmian and RTE.

Provence Grand Large: a project supported by a large number of stakeholders
Provence Grand Large is support by a large number of stakeholders. In addition to the support it receives from the French government, via the ADEME, the Region, the Metropolis and the European Commission, the Provence Grand Large project is also supported by a large number of local stakeholders: the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille, the cities of Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, Martigues, Port-de-Bouc and Fos-sur-Mer, the CCI Aix-Marseille Provence, and the Pôle Mer Méditerranée and CapEnergies areas of expertise, among others.
In the environmental field, Provence Grand Large is supported by the Camargue Regional Nature Park, given its interest in improving knowledge during the pilot stage of the project.
The Comité Régional des Pêches et des Elevage Marins and the local Prud’homie de Martigues also play an important role in the project, as do environmental and civic associations such as the Association de Protection du Littoral et du Golfe de Fos, the Club de Voile de Fos and France Nature Environnement Paca.
Finally, on a technical and scientific level, EDF power solutions contributes with Aix-Marseille University, the CNRS, and Central Marseille, to implement and manage training programs, research programs, and innovation programs.
